Institutional Research About Institutional Research
The Institutional Research & Effectiveness Department supports the mission and goals of the college by providing accurate, timely, and meaningful data to inform planning, decision-making, and continuous improvement. Through data analysis, reporting, and assessment support, the office helps ensure institutional effectiveness and accountability. We collaborate with departments across campus to promote a culture of evidence-based practice and to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
Functions
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data to support decision-making.
Provides data and insights for strategic planning and goal tracking.
Coordinates assessment of student learning and institutional outcomes.
Supports accreditation efforts with required data and documentation.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body reporting.
Designs and administers surveys to gather stakeholder feedback.
Develops dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Promotes data literacy and evidence-based practices across the institution.

Users of the data collected by the IR Department do not receive identifying information unless their purpose requires it, in which case they are held to the aforementioned standards of confidentiality in accordance with the provisions of the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
